Citizens’ Gift Testimonials

My grandmother gave me $1. She said it's nice to give back.
My family has been in this neighborhood for generations and will continue to be for generations to come. We support it because when this organization does well, we all benefit and grow together.
I travel through the neighborhood several times a week and it's refreshing to see so much new construction replacing tired old buildings and open land.  It is my pleasure to be a part of making this renaissance happen.

The rebirth of Fairfax is a shining example of the rebirth of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. The seeds have been planted. It is worth giving our time, talent and treasure to help it grow and thrive.

@LandofFairfax I am proud to support such a great organization! The seeds have been planted!

I grew up in the Fairfax neighborhood where I developed my core values for family and community.  I will support this organization in any way I can.
Being able to give is also a gift you make to yourself. "There is more happiness in giving than in receiving."
I'm donating because this neighborhood needs it and our donations empower the entire community.
Donating is important to me because we need to rebuild the community. And we won't let anything stop us!
I believe in the Land of Fairfax.

My mommy said I could so please accept my $2.00.
This organization is trying to build a world class neighborhood, and I want to help them do that.
If you can help, please do.  It feels good!
I'm a product of Cleveland. I believe in reinvesting in our neighborhoods.

This is home. No matter how far away I move, I can always come back, relate, see the people I grew up with, and know that they’re okay.
I made my gift because I love Fairfax.
I'm excited about the future of Fairfax!
I can live without a new Xbox game to help someone else.

@LandofFairfax Since I finished working on the website I knew I had to do more for this great cause. I am now a proud citizen of Fairfax!

Fairfax is my home away from home. I always come back! It's a neighborhood that is constantly thriving! And I love being a part of it.

Donating to this Lend A Hand campaign was an easy task. Here is an organization that is not running from social media but is embracing it; all while launching a campaign unlike any other I have seen. I mean John Legend supports it and I believe in a greater Fairfax. It's new, it's relevant, it's revolutionary. It just makes sense.

Great fundraiser @LandofFairfax  I got some great footage and made a donation pic.twitter.com/w84UslFPD5

If $1 is good, $5 is even better. Growing up my mom taught me to share what I had. If I had 1 candy bar and 2 cousins, that candy bar was split 3 ways. No questions asked! That's why I'm sharing today.
You're never too young to give. It may not be alot, but a little goes a long way.

At 103 years old, I'm happy to be a part of something so wonderful.
Wassup, I'm a Man of Morehouse from Cleveland, Ohio. When I saw John Legend was calling everyone to wake up, I had to support The Land of Fairfax!

.@LandofFairfax I donated because I believe in a campaign that helps build strong foundations for families in our communities.

I'm doing it...cause it's the right thing to do!
Philanthropy sets the proper example for generations to come.

Yep! Only $1.00!
I'm enamored with this whole idea of reaching out to the world to help a neighborhood. We can definitely make it happen everyone!
When I arrived in Cleveland from Nashville,TN after visiting LA pursuing an acting career, Karamu House in the Fairfax neighborhood was the place to go. I learned the sport of Fencing and discovered my athletic skills outweighed my acting skills. To show  appreciation for where it started for me, I made a donation to the Land of Fairfax that will continue to thrive and provide opportunities for young people growing up in the City of Cleveland.
Sunshine makes me feel good. I like to add sunshine to the lives of others whenever possible in a symbolic way.
As a resident of East Cleveland, I am excited to see and hear about the work FRDC is doing for the neighborhood and beyond their traditional geographical borders. Donating supports a vision that's big and fun!

@FRDC and proud to be a part of @LandofFairfax

I like to help. Anything I am able to do for the community I will do it.
I am contributing to the Fairfax community because when I think of bright futures, I always remember that everything starts at home.

@LandofFairfax I'm proud of my community! If you feel the same way, purchase a title deed in the Land of Fairfax!!

— Laurence Trotter (@LaurenceTrotter) February 5, 2014

A worthy cause always gets my support. I’ve watched this organization take care of the pressing needs of the community for a long time. That’s why I’m lending my hand.
This organization’s visionary passion became my monetary purpose. There’s power in togetherness as we look towards tomorrow.

Children watch what you do more than listen to what you say. If they see you give from the heart, they will follow that example.
It gets frustrating when you see large projects that you can’t be part of. This is something small that ordinary people can do and still feel like we’re making a contribution.

.@LandofFairfax I donated because the work they do makes a real impact here in the city of Cleveland. Join me, folks – it's only $1!
